SALEM TWP. — As reported by the Scranton Times- A natural gas-fired power plant proposed for Salem Twp. in Luzerne County cleared another hurdle by obtaining permission from the organization that authorizes large-scale water withdrawals from the Susquehanna River watershed. During its quarterly meeting on Thursday, the Susquehanna River Basin Commission approved applications by Moxie Freedom LLC to use up to 90,000 gallons of water per day, a release from the commission states.
