Cannot Thank TCLF Enough!
After receiving an offer from Shell for an oil and gas lease in Tioga county and then talking to one of their agents, I felt like they made a good offer. To be safe, I searched the internet and decided to call The Clark Law Firm for a review. A call to Marceea and a "hundred" questions later I knew I made the right choice. I can't emphasize how helpful, enthusiastic, and "down to earth" she was! She listened to all of my concerns, suggested many options, and then set up a consultation with Doug who proceeded to (after an extremely informative conversation with me) negotiate with Shell a very "landowner friendly" lease. It seems from all of his knowledge Doug has encountered just about every "lease possibility" imaginable!! I cannot thank them enough for all of their efforts.

TCLF: “Terrific” and “The BEST”
The Clark Law firm was terrific in helping us navigate our recent pipeline agreement with Susquehanna Gathering Company. Many people do not consider the ramifications of the complex legal language of the documents they are signing when entering such agreements. Doug was extremely helpful in helping us sort through the legal language to help us get an outstanding agreement that will benefit and protect us. Most of all, my wife and I truly appreciate all the help and assistance you have given us over the past year! Whenever anyone asks about legal advice for anything related to natural gas exploration, we ALWAYS refer them to you! You are the BEST!

Temple Law Professor Recommends TCLF to Landowner and Doug Clark Delivers
We were referred to The Clark Law Firm by our son, who is a law student at Temple Law School in Philadelphia. He had asked one of his professors who teaches contract law, and our son's professor had recommended Doug Clark. I had previously attempted on two occasions to negotiate a gas and oil lease on our property in Tioga County, however on both occasions I was unsuccessful in my attempts. On our third attempt my wife and I agreed that we needed to retain an attorney who was well versed in the nuances of contract negotiations with SWEPI. Not only did Mr. Clark protect our interests, and incorporate into the contract all of the addendums that we had requested, he was also able to successfully negotiate terms that captured one third more revenues on the lease price per acre. He was also successful in negotiating 3% more total royalty payment than was initially offered by Shell. I would strongly urge anyone who is in the process of considering a gas and oil lease negotiation with SWEPI or any other company in our region to consider Mr. Clark and The Clark Law Firm before attempting to negotiate the lease details on your own.

Contact Several Terms, but it was Clear Doug has Superior Knowledge In Oil and Gas Legal Work
When our family was recently approached by SWEPI to lease them our Oil & Gas rights for our property in Tioga County, PA we were nervous about dealing with the legal aspects such a transaction. We contacted several law firms but it was clear rather quickly that The Clark Law Firm and Doug himself had superior knowledge concerning this type of legal work. Doug consulted with us regularly and guided our decision making through the entire process. He was concise and did not mince words on what he thought we reasonable terms for us to consider. Being stewards of our property North Central PA for over 25 years we were extremely concerned about the potential impact this may have on our property and Doug worked hard to make sure our land would be as protected as possible while also affording our family fair compensation from Bonus and Royalty perspectives. We would highly recommend Doug and his team to anyone involved in an Oil & Gas Lease in Pennsylvania.

Without a Doubt – “Attorney Clark Was the Right Choice” and More Than Doubled Compensation
Even though we felt that our own negotiations with Williams had resulted in a fairly good preliminary agreement, my husband and I realized that “we don’t know what we don’t know.” So, before signing, we knew we should consult a professional about the proposed pipeline right-of-way across our property. The two most important things to us were the need to protect our property’s value for our own family’s future use, and also the desire to maximize the compensation we would receive. Through listening to his radio program, we knew that Attorney Doug Clark was extremely knowledgeable on the subject and well positioned to negotiate on our behalf. Without a doubt, Attorney Clark was the right choice. The final agreement he was able to produce gave us all the protection we needed but hadn’t even thought to demand, and also more than doubled the compensation we received. We found him always willing to give advice but never pushy, leaving the final decisions up to us in every case. He was always a pleasure to speak with, willing to patiently explain the issues, and quickly responsive to our inquiries, as was his staff. The whole process was pleasant, and I would highly recommend that anyone who is in the position to negotiate a pipeline right-of-way consult Attorney Clark.

TCLF – Responsive and a Pleasure to Work With
On behalf of my brother, husband and I, let me say that we felt reassured about the language of the lease after having spoken with you at length. Hopefully we will never have to litigate but at least we understand the terms and obligations of both parties to the agreement. It was a pleasure to work with you and Marceea. You were both very responsive to our questions and helped guide me through the process.

Another Job Well Done by TCLF
Following a referral by a neighbor, my wife and I engaged The Clark Law Firm to assist in a gas lease in Susquehanna County just as the cauldron was beginning to boil. We subsequently had the firm review two pipeline agreements. Our experiences were favorable. The gas field activity was very dynamic at the time and we ended up with offers from three gas companies and family members with different goals. Doug and Marceea were both professional and practical throughout the entire process. I feel that we could be poster children for many of the unique situations which the firm has chalked up to experience. Having over the years worked with different attorneys in a variety of legal issues, I’d remind every client that you are the employer and the product a law firm furnishes you is subject to your perusal and approval. Do your homework to the best of your ability and make sure you review every word and that it meets your expectations. And don’t hesitate to ask questions. While the criteria and intricacies of the “gas rush” in Pennsylvania continue to evolve, I can go to bed at night knowing that we achieved the best possible agreements, with the most benefits and protections that were available at the time. That’s a job well done and The Clark Law Firm fulfilled their roll admirably.

We would like to express our deep appreciation to the Doug Clark Law Firm for the excellent legal advice and professional way you have handled our Gas Company business dealings.
