Doug discusses Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

Doug discusses troublesome gas lease terms, including company choice on whether disputes are resolved by arbitration, federal court, county court. Try to eliminate company’s option for jurisdiction and arbitration. Also, Doug addresses language permitting companies to withhold funds during outstanding disputes regarding payment of royalties. Doug explains the value of eliminating surprises in the future after signing gal ease, pipeline agreement or other contract with energy companies.
